I used to sail in Cowes Week and the Round the Island Race.
Round the Island is a single day event which draws 1875 boats. Don't expect to win unless your boat looks like this.
Cowes Week is a week long mega-regatta which attracts 1000 boats and 9000 competitors. Cowes takes place in August in a spectacular setting on the south coast. It brings together an amazing variety of boats.
I suggest that one year we put together a Fleet 27 J24 race team and that we head over there. I have no details planned and no boat sourced but I want to launch the idea. How about 2012?
