Fleet 27 Dues are Due - Please Send $30 to Tim!

Longer days and warmer weather is upon us, which means racing season is around the corner. The recent fleet party was a hit and many great ideas were thrown around, ranging from regional and national regattas, how to grow the fleet, to fun activities to promote this summer.

Anna graciously accepted the position of social coordinator for 2011. All in attendance agreed the social events after Thursday races were a great way to celebrate/commiserate race results, as well as an opportunity to socialize and promote what sets the j24 fleet apart from the other less fun, less competitive local fleets.

This year we will be targetting a few activities:

1. Social events after Thursday night races, with the location posted to the fleet website prior to the weekly race.
2. Collecting and using fleet dues to maintain trophies and hold a few parties throughout the year to help promote the fleet.
3. Organizing a weekend cruise/camping trip to Government island.
4. Organizing an unofficial race and camp to St. Helens.
5. District Championship at Seattle NOOD event in May

Also, can anyone claim winner to earliest j24 in the water this year? Ghost touched the Columbia Monday afternoon and I saw Stella at Schooner creek over the weekend.
