RCYC Summer Regatta - Class Breaks & Sailing Instructions

Competitors;

Thank you for entering the 2009 RCYC Summer Regatta. We look forward to a
great two days of racing on the river. For those registering late for this
event and having not yet paid, please mail your payments directly to the
RCYC Race Captain at the address in the OCSA Race Book.

Attached are the Class Breaks and Sailing Instructions for this weekend's
event. Racing is scheduled for 1830 on Friday 19 June 2009 and 1200 on
Saturday 20 June 2009. A social following racing on Saturday will be held
at the RCYC Clubhouse and trophies will be presented for the RCYC Medium
Distance Race and the Summer Regatta. All fleets, with the exception of the
Sea Scouts, should expect MULTIPLE RACES on both days.

Please PRINT A COPY OF THE ATTACHMENTS AND BRING THEM WITH YOU TO THE RACE;
additional hand-outs may or may not be available from the Race Committee.
Please review the additional ALPHA courses included in the attachment.

Division: Sea Scouts will be racing on Saturday only; one race is scheduled
for this fleet only.

Division: PHRF A & Division: SportBoat shall start together, but WILL BE
SCORED SEPARATELY. Fleet: PHRF ToT is for REFERENCE ONLY.

Club PHRF ratings have been assigned to some boats in an effort to provide
fair competition for all competitors.

Again, thank you for your participation. Have a great weekend, sail safe,
do your turns if you foul, and have a good time out there.

District 19 News

Doug updates us with the following District 19 news ...

1.) Some updates to the District website at www.j24district19.org, including updates on the PNW Championship, and some links to the items highlighted below

2.) Nice representation by Eric Sanderson and team Suspence as well as Harry Brown and the Mouse Trap folks at the Worlds in Annapolis.

3.) Congrats to Harry Dursch and the Self Abuse gang for the J24 win at the NOODs in May, 1st step on the PNW Champ front!

Attention Sailors:

Friday & Saturday, June 19 & 20, is the RCYC Summer Regatta. Two days of
excellent sailing and great racing, guaranteed*! If you have not sent in
your registration, NOW is the time to do so. Don't wait, summer is here the
weather will be good, there will be wind, this WILL BE FUN! 2 or 3 races on
Friday and a bunch on Saturday, with Sunday off to mow the lawn; what more
could you want?

Send your checks by snail mail and your entries electronically, for faster

The following events are listed on the front page of SAILPDX website. Can we get great J24 participation? With the bigger better fleet we are fielding this year we should be able to. Sign up often and early.
